The New York State Department of Transportation announced that a new traffic pattern will be installed at the intersection of Route 117 (East Main Street) and Route 172 (South Bedford Road) in Mount Kisco, weather permitting.
According to the NYSDOT, the work will begin at approximately 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, and will last until the new traffic pattern is in place.
During the work, motorists can expect delays in the area and have been advised to seek alternate routes, when possible.
“Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers,” the NYSDOT noted. “Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
